Announcements and Site Updates

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Thank you for visiting our site.

O-Train Fans is a work in progress until the end of 2018 as we await the opening of the Confederation Line. Once open, we will be documenting all the new stations (from Blair to Tunney's Pasture), the trains, the system and the features of the network.

Once this is completed, we will be turning our attention to the Stage 2 LRT expansions (south to the Airport and beyond, east to Orleans and west to Nepean and Moodie). This phase of O-Train Fans will continue for the next 5 years until those extensions are operating.

What this means is that the site will be continuously updated.  This forum topic will be updated as new additions, changes or updates are made to give you an overview of where to look and what's new, especially helpful if you are a frequent visitor to the site.

Thank you and enjoy the ride!

Week of August 26, 2018

  • Slight updates and modifications to some page layouts and menus.
  • Launch of the O-Train Fans forums.

This was a slow week for new content as time was put into the launch of the forums. Weather permitting, there should be some construction updates to come over the weekend and new content will resume next week. Stay tuned.

  • Small photo update on St. Laurent Station (Still can't see much beyond the construction hoardings unfortunately), posted in the Blog.
  • Realignment of the Forum categories, to better match up with the discussions, posts and topics talking place.

New Feature as of September 7, 2018.

This new map, developed by Derek Ellis @occheetos, allows you to explore the current O-Train network, from the Confederation and Trillium Lines to the maintenance and storage yards at Belfast and Walkley. Details such as track and switch locations, station shapes and platform positions, and more can all be found on this new map. In addition, clicking a station will bring you to the station's information page.

This is the first release of the Interactive System Map. More features will be incorporated in the near future. Stay tuned.

It was brought to my attention that the forums were asking for people to upload their profile picture and on occasion not allowing people to post until they did. This was not intentional and seems to have been triggered on by a software update of the forums. It is now turned off.

My apologies to all those who had tried to post and were not able to due to this issue. You should have no issues moving forward.
