O-Train - Testing

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

This topic is to share news of testing exercises, such as stations, trains, infrastructure and so forth.

First up, this coming Sunday from 4am to 10am, Hurdman and Lycée Claudel stations will be closed to allow for testing to occur related to the Confederation Line. The image they posted says Hurdman Stress Test at the bottom left... as to the specifics of what that means and entails I don't know.

Here are the details as posted on OCTRANSPO.COM

DETOUR: Hurdman and Lycée Claudel Stations closed Sunday morning October 28, 2018 Route 9, 42, 44, 45, 48, 49, 61, 62, 86, 87, 88, 92, 97, 98, 104

We are running a bus operations test at Hurdman Station from 4am to 10 am on Sunday to prepare for O-Train Line 1 service. Routes 9, 42, 44, 45, 48, 49, 61, 62, 86, 87, 88, 92, 97, 98 and 104 will bypass Hurdman and Lycée Claudel. Buses will use temporary stops at Industrial and Riverside instead. This test will take place early on a Sunday to affect as few customers as possible.

Bus Stop(s) Affected:

The following stops will be out of service from 4 am to 10 am:

Stop #

Hurdman Station

Lycée Claudel Station

Terminal just south of the Transitway

Terminal (northside), just west of Sandford Fleming

Above image shows the closure and the routes servicing the temporary stops.

And below is the details of the closure and bus detour.

Is anyone familiar with the general testing schedules? Specifically around the Tremblay station? I would like to get a new picture for the site's homepage, but this time in winter. Last time it was easy as the train was parked there...

Any idea what the daily time frame for testing in that area is and what the frequency of them passing is?

Thank you.
